South Gallery
Intimate space perfect for emerging artists and solo presentations

- •Emerging artists and first solo exhibitions
- •Smaller-scale, focused bodies of work
- •Personal narrative and experimental work
- •Photography, prints, and works on paper
Exhibition Duration: 3-6 weeks
Application Process
Review Requirements
Ensure your work aligns with our gallery spaces and you can provide the required materials (artist statement, high-quality images, resume/CV, and exhibition proposal).
Submit Your Proposal
Send your complete exhibition proposal to our Gallery Committee via email. Include 10-20 high-resolution images of your work, an artist statement, CV, and a brief description of your proposed exhibition concept.
Committee Review
Our Gallery Committee meets monthly to review submissions. We evaluate artistic merit, concept strength, exhibition readiness, and fit with our programming calendar. You'll receive a response within 4-6 weeks.
Exhibition Planning
If selected, we'll work with you to schedule your exhibition, coordinate installation, plan your opening reception, and develop promotional materials. We're here to support you every step of the way.
Important Information
Member Priority: Current Firehouse Art Center members receive priority consideration for exhibition opportunities. Not yet a member? Learn about membership.
Submission Deadlines: We accept proposals on a rolling basis, but recommend submitting at least 6-9 months before your desired exhibition dates.
Gallery Fee: There is no fee to apply or exhibit. However, artists are responsible for their own framing, shipping, and insurance costs.
Sales: Artists retain 100% of sales proceeds. We handle sales transactions as a courtesy but do not take commissions.
